Consumer Math Course

Service Description

Join a small group of other 4th-8th grade students in learning how to use math in the real world! We meet Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10am-11am. Sample topics include: -Wants vs. needs -Checks and registers -Wages and salary -Bank accounts -Budgets -Electronic banking and credit cards -Sales tax and tip -Car loans -Mortgages -Student loans -Investing -Car insurance -Health insurance Students are expected to purchase necessary curriculum prior to the first day of class. This will be a great chance to gain practical math skills alongside other kids! Guest speakers, including business owners and bankers, will be included as well. Two payments of $250 is available upon request. ESA eligible.
